What I do

  1. 01

    Design

Concept, trend and color research, sketching and digital flats. I think in collections, not single pieces.

    • Flats
  2. 02

    Product Development

Tech packs, size charts, sourcing and sampling. I turn a drawing into something a factory can make.

How I got here

At sixteen I fell for streetwear, at the height of the hypebeast era, with American trap as the soundtrack. I have been working toward this ever since.

  1. 2018 — 2023

    B.A. Fashion Design, EASD Castellón

Five years building collections, from research to finished garment. Here I learned the craft end to end: pattern making, garment construction, footwear design, shoemaking, plus professional digital work in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.

  2. 2022 · 2023

    CLEC Fashion Festival

Selected as an emerging designer two years running. Each year I designed a capsule, took it from sketch to finished looks and showed it on the runway. In 2023 I also helped with early planning for the 2024 edition, contacting artists and organizing a designers' market.

  3. 2023

    Design internship

240 hours with an established designer in Spain. I designed four collections, one for each of his labels, acted as the link between design and the business side, worked in English with a Dutch team and contributed to a 3D-printing study for a bridal gown. It sharpened my Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign workflow under real deadlines.

  4. 2023

    INSIDE LVMH certificate

LVMH's online certificate program on the luxury industry: a grounding in how the group's houses think about product, brand and client.

  5. 2023 — 2024

    M.A. Fashion Marketing, ELLE Education

Brand strategy, communication and launch planning. My projects included a concept event for Louis Vuitton around Paris 2024 and a final marketing plan pairing Louis Vuitton with Comme des Garçons.

  6. 2024

    MARKO ARCHIVE

I founded my own streetwear label and built it from zero: brand story, identity, product design, tech packs, sourcing and packaging.

  7. Feb 20, 2025

    Shadowborn

The first MARKO ARCHIVE collection goes on sale: a heavyweight hoodie, a leather-look jacket and wide trousers, produced in a small run with more than 60% sold.

Looking for a team to learn from.

Marko Archive

My own label. Chapter one: Shadowborn.

MARKO ARCHIVE is the streetwear label I built from scratch: a dark, medieval-fantasy world translated into contemporary clothes. I handled everything, from the first sketch to the day it went on sale.

01

Concept

A brand built around a story: Marko, a dark hero, in a world where medieval fantasy meets contemporary streetwear. The manifesto, the monogram and the tone of voice came first.

02

Design

Every piece starts as a digital flat.

03

Tech pack

500 gsm French terry, two screen prints, debossed PU leather patch. Spec'd for production in tech packs I drew myself.

04

Sourcing

I compared seven manufacturers on minimum order, sample cost, unit cost and lead time before choosing one.

  • Lead time
05

Campaign

A white-void studio shoot, art directed and styled by me.

06

Packaging

Box, mailer, hang tags and a thank-you card sealed in red wax. The unboxing is part of the story.

07

Launch

Released February 20, 2025. Produced in a small run and sold through my own store and network.

More than 60% of the first run sold

About

Portrait of Roberto Marco Sánchez in New York, with the Brooklyn Bridge behind him
Brooklyn, New York

I'm Roberto, a fashion designer from Spain. Digital design is where I'm strongest: Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign and Premiere Pro are daily tools, and a clean tech pack is the part of the job I enjoy most.

I've worked across every part of a fashion designer's job, from research and sketching to pattern, production and launch. Where I'm not yet an expert, I adapt fast.

I set goals and work until they're done. Four years in hospitality, including running a bar, taught me pace, teamwork and how to treat people.

I'm interested in streetwear, contemporary fashion, luxury, footwear and accessories, and in the place where product and storytelling meet.
